Frank D. Leatherman, Jr, MAI, CCIM, is a partner in Leatherman Real Estate Services LLC (established in 1991) and serves as chief appraiser. LRES is a full service commercial real estate function providing appraisal services, brokerage and consulting. Mr. Leatherman is a native of Raleigh and a graduate of the University of NC at Chapel Hill. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, a licensed NC Real Estate Broker, a member of the Appraisal Institute and a CCIM. Having an extensive background in the banking and real estate genres, Mr. Leatherman has appraised a variety of commercial properties including office buildings, shopping centers, subdivisions, apartments, restaurants, industrial properties, vacant land, historic properties, mixed-use developments, golf courses, cotton gins, waste treatment facilities, landfills, municipal and institutional properties. Mr. Leatherman has extensive experience in eminent domain issues providing expert testimony for municipalities and property owners. Mr. Leathermans client relationships include some of the nations major financial institutions and development companies, attorneys, municipalities, public and private corporations as well as individual property owners.


Carolyn B. Terry, Managing Partner, Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, and Broker has been with Leatherman Real Estate Services LLC since its inception in 1991. Ms. Terry manages the daily administrative and financial functions of LRES as well as providing appraisal, commercial/residential brokerage services and consulting. A native of Charlotte where she started her real estate career, she has an extensive background in leasing, property management and development of residential and commercial properties. Prior to her real estate experience, Ms. Terry worked in Sales and Human Resources.


Pat Gray is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser who has been appraising commercial properties since 2004 and is a technical supervisor and reviewer at Leatherman Real Estate Services LLC. She has experience appraising a variety of property types including commercial, office, institutional,industrial properties, and residential subdivisions. She also has several years of experience in appraising properties involved in condemnation cases. Pat has a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Virginia Tech and came to Leatherman Real Estate Services LLC with 12 years in Engineering and Purchasing roles in a corporate environment. Pat is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute and is pursuing her MAI designation with the Institute.

Kathryn Roberts is qualified by the State of North Carolina as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. She has experience in appraising a variety of commercial property types including office, industrial, institutional, retail and residential subdivisions. Before coming to Leatherman Real Estate Services LLC in March of 2005, Kathryn obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Clemson University and went on to become an airline pilot with Continental Airlines. Kathryn is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute and is pursuing her MAI designation with the Institute.


Patrick is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and has been appraising commercial property in Wake County and North Carolina since 2005. Before joining Leatherman Real Estate Services LLC, Patrick was employed by IBM as a software consultant. He attended North Carolina State University, graduating with a BS in Computer Science and Duke University, graduating with an MBA. He is a native North Carolinian, growing up in Wilson County and living in Raleigh since 1973. He is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute, a member of the North Carolina Professional Appraisers Coalition, and a member to the Triangle Chapter of the North Carolina Professional Appraisers Coalition where he is currently serving as Treasurer.


Jeff Taylor is a Commercial Real Estate Advisor and Appraiser. Taylor is a Licensed Real Estate Broker, a General Certified Real Estate Appraiswer, and a Licensed Commercial (General) Contractor. Jeff is originally from Raleigh and graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He gained experience in the real estate industry through project management and supervision of custom residential construction, subsequently obtaining his General Contractor's License. His combination of accounting and construction experience brings a lot to the table for consulting and appraising. Jeff is a General Associate Member with the Appraisal Institute. He is pursuing the MAI and CCIM designations.

Jessica Palermo is a Trainee Real Estate Appraiser, working toward becoming General Certified and pursuing her MAI designation. Jessica is from Newtown, CT and graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's Degree in Management with concentrations in International Business and Marketing. She gained experience in the real estate industry through an internship with Trinity Real Estate in New York City as their Strategic Planning and Business Development intern before relocating to Raleigh. Jessica has experience in appraising a variety of commercial property types including subdivisions, offices, industrial facilities/warehouses and estate portfolios.


Lauren Jones is a Registered Trainee with the State of NC. Lauren graduated from the University of NC at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's Degree. She worked as a project coordinator at McKinney advertising in Durham, NC prior to joining Leatherman Real Estate Services, LLC in May of 2010. Lauren is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute and is pursuing her State General Certification and MAI designation.


Bob Maceda is a Trainee Real Estate Appraiser, working in the mortgage and real estate industries since 2004. His experience includes underwriting commercial real estate loans and general analysis of investment grade commercial real estate. Bob obtained his B.S. Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Robert Morris University. He is working toward his State General Certification and pursuing his MAI designation.


Jordan Harris joined Leatherman Real Estate Services as a Research Assistant in February 2011. Jordan brings a diverse background to the Company with experience in media as a producer of Charlotte's Morning News at WBT in Charlotte. Jordan previously spent time as a Public Relations Assistant at Charlotte Center City Partners, a non-profit firm responsible for business, economic and neighborhood development for Uptown Charlotte. He has a Bachelor's degree from Auburn University and plans to pursue a real estate appraisal career working toward a General Certificate and MAI designation.
